  • DAY 1: Manu National Park - Manu Road

Early pick up from your Cusco hotel or airport and then we will start our birding adventure driving to Hucarpay Lake for target species. Then we will continuos our drive to Paucartambo village for lunch at our favorite local restaurant. After we will move to Acjanaco pass where Manu National Park starts. After the pass, we will probably start to see more species on our way to our first lodge in Manu road located at 1,500 meters. We will try to get in time for Lyred-Tailed Nightjar display at dusk another wise we will do on next afternoon Dinner and Night in lodge

Birds: Bearded Mountaineer (E), Moustached Flowerpiercer, Hooded Mountain-Tanager, Scarlet-bellied Mountain-Tanager, Golden-collared Tanager, Grass-green Tanager, Gray-mantled Wren, Mountain Foliage-Gleaner, Olive-Backed Woodcreeper, Stripe Threehunter, Scale-crested Pygmy-Tyrant, Inca Flycatcher(E), Marble-faced Bristle-Tyrant, Stripe-Chested Antwren, White-backed Fire-Eye, Black-eared Hemispingus, Yellow-breasted Antwren, Yungas Manakin, Yellow-throated, common Clorospingus, Dusky-Green Oropendola, Brown Tinamou, Rufous-tailed Tyrant, Chestnut-backed Antshrike, Unicolored Antshrike, Andean Motmot, Rufescent Screech-Owl, Blue-naped Chlorophonia, Yellow-breasted Antbird, Black-streaked Puffbird, and many others.

  • DAY 2-3: Full days Birding

Early and late afternoon birding along the road for mixed flocks and residents species.  We will try also at dusk for some owls. Meals at lodge and overnights.

Birds: Andean Cock of the Rock, Versicolored Barbet, Beryl-spangled, Safron-Crown, Golden Tanagers and Orange-eared, Yellow-throated, Slaty, Golden-naped, Paradise, Blue-necked, Bay-headed, Spotted Tanagers, Deep-blue Flowerpiercer, Three-stripe Warbler, Russet-crowned Warbler, Black-faced Brush-finch, Golden-headed Quetzal, Crested Quetzal, Amazonian Umbrellabird, Wire-crested Thorntail, Speckled Hummingbird, Violet-headed Hummingbird, Peruvian Piedtail (E), Many-spotted Humminbird, Botted Raquetail, Gray-mantled Wren, Mountain Foliage-Gleaner, Olive-Backed Woodcreeper, Stripe Threehunter, Scale-crested Pygmy-Tyrant, Marble-faced Bristle-Tyrant, Stripe-Chested Antwren, White-backed Fire-Eye, Black-eared Hemispingus, Yellow-breasted Antwren, Yungas Manakin, Yellow-throated, common Clorospingus, Dusky-Green Oropendola, Brown Tinamou, Rufous-tailed Tyrant, Chestnut-backed Antshrike, Unicolored Antshrike, Andean Motmot, Rufescent Screech-Owl, Blue-naped Chlorophonia, Yellow-breasted Antbird and many others.

  • DAY 4: Birding dow to Amazonia

Today we will start our descent to 400 m of elevation to reach our last birding location Amazonia Lodge which for decades where a great hot spot for several species found around this private property. We will need to reach the Atalaya river village where there is a boat trip for 20 minutes downriver to reach the lodge. There at the lodge, we will do some afternoon birding and some owling before dinner. Night in Lodge

  • DAY 5: Full Day Birding

Today we will visit a small parrot clay lick and lagoon and portion of their trails to get more Amazonian species. Then we will back to our lodge for lunch, In the afternoon we will explore some of the trails. Night in lodge

  • DAY 6: Birding drive the upper Manu Road

Today we will search for missing species. Then we will drive up the mountains to get our next birding lodge found at 2,900 meters. Dinner and night in Lodge.

Birds: Scarlet-bellied Mountain-Tanager, Grass-green Mountain-Tanager, Chestnut-bellied Mountain-Tanager, Hooded Mountain-Tanager, Barred Becard, Red-crested and Chestnut-crested Cotingas, Slaty-backed Chat-tyrant, Golden-headed Quetzal, Golden-collared Tanager, Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan, Blue-banded Toucanet, Red and White Antpitta (E), Marcapata Spinetail (E) and many others.and many others.

  • DAY 7: Birding drive to Cusco

Early breakfast and we will search for some missing species on our way back to Cusco City. There we will leave in your hotel or we can take you to the airport.
