Central Peru Full Endemics
- DAY 1: Arrive in Lima
Arrive in Lima and transfer to our hotel close to Lima airport.
- DAY 2: Lomas de Lachay
After breakfast, we will drive to Lomas de Lachay. We will bird directly for the Cactus Canastero (E) and other endemics at our spot. Then we will look for the other species found at this natural reserve and after Lomas de Lachay we will go to Paraiso Lagoon for shore birds. Then we will drive up to Caral-Barranca. Dinner and night in a Hotel.
Some Species: Coastal Miner, Grayish Miner, Thick-billed Miner, Least Seedsnipe, Tawny-throated Dotterel, Yellowish Pipit, Black-chested Buzzard Eagle, Variable Hawk, American Kestrel, Eared Dove, Croaking Ground-Dove, Oasis, and Amazilia Hummingbirds, Vermilion Flycatcher, Blue-and-white Swallow, Hooded Siskin, Grassland Yellow-Finch, Peruvian Meadowlark, Raimondis Yellow-Finch, Burrowing Owl, Peruvian Thick-knee, Short-tailed Field-Tyrant, Groove-billed Ani, Parrot-billed, Chestnut-throated Seedeaters and more.
- DAY 3: Birding Drive to Conococha Lake - Ancash (Caraz)
Early start drives up to the high Andes birding along the road. We will do some birding stops for our main target species on our way to get our place to Conococha for a variety of Andean species. Then we will keep driving to get Caraz. Dinner and night in a hotel

- DAY 4: Full-day birding
Early birding along the Quebrada Llanganuco and the Polylepis forest for the rest of the day and then we will back to our place. Dinner and night Caraz

- DAY 5: Birding drive to Huanuco
Today we will have a long drive up to the Cordillera Blanca searching for some specialties along the road and mountains. We usually arrive late afternoon in Huanuco town. Dinner and night in a Hotel
- DAY 6: Birding Carpish-Paty Trail
Early drive (about 40 minutes) to get to the Carpish tunnel where we will start our birding day along the humid cloud forest for the rest of the day. Then we will back to our place. Dinner and night in a hotel

- DAY 7: Birding Bosque Unchoq
Early drive to Cochabamba village which is the entrance for our birding day. Here we will spend the rest of the day searching for our main target and unique species found along the Bosque as a mixture of chusquea bamboo and cloud forest. We will have a chance to find several bird mixed-species flocks during the day. Then we will back late afternoon to Huanuco. Dinner and night in a Hotel

- DAY 8: Morning birding and drive to Junin
Today we will choose which place we want to do our next birding morning Carpish or Bosque Unchoq according to our prior birding along with those birding spots. Then we will start our birding drive to Junin and if time permits we will do birding nearby for some extra species. Night and Dinner in Hotel
- DAY 9: Junin Grebe search - Drive to Villa Rica
Morning birding around the Junin marsh and mountains searching for some species. Then we will do our boat trip for two hours around. And After all Junin specialties, we will start our drive to Villa Rica. Dinner and Night in Hotel

- DAY 10: Birding Bosque Shollet/Ulcumano Lodge
We will do some extra morning along the bosque Shollet for Trilling Tapaculo, Golden-collared Tanager (rare), Bluish Flowerpiercer, Maroon-chested Ground-Dove, Masked Fruiteater, Crimson-bellied Woodpecker, White Hawk, Black-and-chestnut Eagle, Black-winged Parrot, Creamy-bellied Antwren (E) (rare), Tataupa Tinamou, Streaked Xenops, Chestnut-backed Antshrike, Peruvian Tyrannulet, Olivaceous and Fulvous-breasted Flatbills, Yellow-cheeked Becard, Inca Flycatcher, are possible birds to find along the forest and then we will head to Oxapampa where is located our next birding place for more species. We will try to do some owling before dinner. Night in Ulcumano Lodge
DAY 11: Birding Ulcumano Trails, Tower & Surroundings
We will walk the trails searching for Sickle-winged Guan, Golden-headed Quetzal, Andean Motmot, Blackish Antbird, Jet Manakin, Chestnut-crested Cotinga, Oxapampa, and Bay Antpittas both endemics, Rufous-vented Tapaculo (E), Masked Fruiteater (E), Peruvian Tyrannulet, Andean, and White-eared Solitaries, Russet-crowned Warbler. We will try to find some nocturnal birds such as the Cloud-forest Screech Owl, Swallow-tailed Nightjar, and Black-banded, Rufous-banded Owls if it is possible. Night in Ulcumano Lodge
- DAY 12: Birding and drive to Satipo
Today we will do some birding for the first hours in the morning and then we will start our birding drive up to the Satipo. Night in Hotel
- DAY 13: Birding drive to Apalla
Early start birding along the cloud forest at the upper Satipo road sera ching for several birds mixed-species flocks and several other species that we can find along the road on our way to Apalla village. Night in Apalla - Colibri Cloud Forest Lodge

- DAY 14: Birding along Satipo Road & Andamarca
Early birding up to Andamarca is found along the Mantaro Valley for the whole day. We usually back to our lodge late afternoon. Night in Apalla - Colibri Cloud Forest Lodge

DAY 15: Birding to la Merced - Hacienda Armorique
Morning birding along Satipo Road for some missing species on our way to La Merced passing near Villa Rica. Night in Hacienda Armorique.
- DAY 16: Birding drive up to Ticlio Bogs
Morning birding and then we will start to head up to the Andes to be in time for our first chance at Milloq bogs for our target species. We will arrive in the late afternoon at the San Mateo Hotel or La Oroya town
Some Species: White-bellied Cinclodes, Diademed Sandpiper-Plover, Puna Snipe, Grey-breasted Seedsnipe, Andean Goose, Crested Duck, and many others.
- DAY 17: Birding Santa Eulalia to Lima
Early start drive to Marcapomacochas and Milloq bogs for more species. Then we will keep driving on our way down to Santa Eulalia for more endemic species. We usually arrive in Lima late afternoon. We can organize a hotel in Lima or we can leave you at the airport for your flight connections.
